BRETT DENNEN TO HEADLINE AT THE MANIFESTIVUS The 9th Annual Manifestivus in Cabot, VT ~ July 22-23, 2011

MONTPELIER, VT. June 2, 2011 – Billboard's Top 40 Brett Dennen joins The Manifestivus (http://manifestivus.com) as a headliner this summer. He will be performing with his full band Saturday night (July 23). He will also play a special solo kids performance Saturday afternoon for the 200+ children that attend this family-friendly festival.

Brett Dennen will be joining Toubab Krewe, Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad and Locos por Juana as this year's featured performers.

"Brett Dennen is one of my favorite live acts," says David Pransky, bassist for Toubab Krewe and founder of the festival. "He's a good friend and I've wanted him at Manifestivus for three years. I'm thrilled it's finally happening."

Brett has toured with John Mayer and has received praise from Michael Franti and Jason Mraz. Femi Kuti collaborated with Brett for his new album's first single, "Make You Crazy." Noting Brett's success, Rolling Stone Magazine named him one of the "10 Artists To Watch in 2008."

In addition to these top chart musicians, this year's Manifestivus is going to feature a late-night silent disco, DJ Yoga Flow (Jane Yoga and DJ Tony Bonez), and a second stage featuring bands that are all from Vermont.

The Manifestivus, a "local festival with a global vibe," is an uplifting international world music festival that promotes personal evolution through music, art and culture. The festival reminds us that we are one with each other, the land and all things.

The Manifestivus http://manifestivus.com Manifestivus was started in 2002 and is held on 93 acres of breathtaking land in Cabot, Vermont, six hours north of New York City and three hours from Boston or Montreal. Set on a gently rolling hillside meadow surrounded by forest, the timber stage creates an unforgettable vibe. "Festivus," as it's been dubbed, was founded by Toubab Krewe bassist David Pransky and takes place on his family's land. The Manifestivus is also managed by Carlo Rovetto of Positive Pie.

The Manifestivus will donate a portion of the proceeds from ticket sales to Toubab Krewe's School House Krewe Project, which is raising funds for the construction of a music school in Bamako, Mali. www.instruments4africa.org
